How get stinky winter boots - not so stinky?

Update: the baking soda worked a treat, boots got wet and sweaty and just smelt like a normal shoe when I took them off today after 42 miles of cycling and 10 hours constantly wearing them...:thumbsup:
Did you wash them or just sprinkle with baking soda then put in airing cupboard?

No, I dried them and then doused them in baking soda....I don't think it would be a good idea to wash a pair of goretex boots in the washer.

Indeed. I've got some stinky road shoes which I've just thrown in the wash. I'll see how they come out before I try baking soda. Tks

Febreeze. Give them a soaking with it and then leave them to dry on a radiator.

Ah ha! I have some of that :thumbsup:
