The most I have done in one day is about 35 miles, I do 20 without getting off the bike pretty easily now. I don't think I am ready to go for 100 yet. I might could do it if it were flat and no big winds, but I would still be hurting from just being on the bike that long. I think I will set a goal to do 100 in 2013.... and not in the mountains ^_^

According to Wikipedia, "Greg Kolodziejzyk set the land distance record at 647 miles (1,041 km) in 24 hours at Eureka, CA on July 17, 2006."

I'm guessing that would have been in a faired recumbent of some sort, on a closed track, but even so... That's an average of a smidge under 27mph:eek::eek:

According to Strava, my commute to work the other week was over 2000 miles from North Africa!
I blame the GPS on my phone, but look at the average speed ;)

I've done a couple of 300km rides in a single day. One just under 15 hours, t'other just over 16 hours.
The 400km and 600km rides to complete my first SR series this year both needed a couple of hours kip in the wee small hours.

I've done 140miles in one day, but there was some serious hill climbing going on during this.
Therefore 150 miles shouldn't be a problem at all. However 200 miles would be a bit more of a challenge. I'd need to start really early, plan stops well, and have some company. I'd need to be willing to ride through to midnight, and get plenty of training in. Could I? Possibly. Do I want to find out if I can? Not particularly!

Furthest I have ever done is 65 in one day. I think I could have done another 5 or so but I arrived at the end of my drive and really fancied a cup of tea and a hot bath.
I would like to break 100 miles next year, maybe find a nice spring day to do it.

I've ridden 140-150 miles 4 times (I think). Three of those rides were extremely hilly - 10,000+ ft of climbing, so I'm sure that I could have managed 200 flatter miles in the same time.

I'd be happy to ride from dawn to dusk on a nice sunny summer day but I am not into sleep deprivation or night riding so my longest ride will always be limited by how fast I can ride and how hilly the terrain is. I reckon 250 miles would be okay, maybe 300 on a flat midsummer ride. When very fit, that is. Currently, I'd literally struggle to ride 1 mile!

Just a mere 25 so far but intend doing longer rides next year.
I must say that i could probably do 100 after building upto it.
When doing my regular 25 miles i seem to hit a wall around 10-15 but about 20 miles in i feel warmed up and my legs are ready for more.So i'm out tomorrow hopefully for a 40 miler.
Next year i intend trying a sportive so maybe opt for a 60 to start with.
