Any good ones to share ?
Just picked up some SIS recovery powder to add to some water but I would prefer to make my own drink / smoothie I guess .

Depends how far you've ridden, how much effort you've made and how quickly you need to recover. Most of us - at the level we ride at - don't specifically need a recovery drink as such.

Cheese/tuna sarnie after a ride does the job - followed by a couple of bottles of Leffe in the evening. There's nothing specifically in a recovery drink that you can't get from other sources.

That's why I'm asking . I don't really want to neck the SIS stuff I would prefer to make my own from a banana and stuff .
Normal food/ eating doesn't seem to be doing it for me and I find I am sparko by about 3pm . If I sit down on the sofa I am out for the count for two hours .
I guess doing a physical job doesn't help .

Have you upped your training load in recent weeks? If so, then it might just be a matter of adaption to a higher workload. In other words, the more you train, the more you can train.

It if isn't that, then take a look at the ingredients in the recovery powder. They really aren't that special - most, if not all of it is available in regular foods. The only benefit is convenience. But banana smoothies or whatever - probably a lot cheaper and better for you ;)

I actually ride less than I used too but the rides now are aimed towards TT . I think work has something to do with it also .
Stressed with running a business , knackered with doing the work for the business and then riding aswell .
