That's why I'm asking . I don't really want to neck the SIS stuff I would prefer to make my own from a banana and stuff .Depends how far you've ridden, how much effort you've made and how quickly you need to recover. Most of us - at the level we ride at - don't specifically need a recovery drink as such.
Cheese/tuna sarnie after a ride does the job - followed by a couple of bottles of Leffe in the evening. There's nothing specifically in a recovery drink that you can't get from other sources.
The amount of miles you do I'm not surprised
