Hi BE- BE and welcome.

If you can ride 6 miles you can ride 15, its all in the mind.

You don't believe me right now but I assure you it is the case. No pressure but if you want to enjoy a commute (and get bitten again) then the summer is THE BEST time to start.

Perhaps give it a go and train it home.

A 15 mile commute will take around 1.5 to 2 hours to begin with depending on your speed. Soon you'll have that down to 1 hour or just over.

The first time you do it you will set of far too early and surprise yourself at how quickly you got in to work. Perhaps consider spreading the commutes out with rest days in between or just give it a go once a week through the summer. Enjoyment will do the rest and will soon have you riding more and more.

I've been a cycle commuter for around 5 years and I still only really do it 3 times a week. Practicality means I need to bring in and drop off a ton of laundry each week, so the motorcycle takes that load.

other than that all the tips you'll need to stay safe are contained in our own guide, we wrote it especially for you. Hope you like it.
