Is that an oil grommet on the left? Was that unique to the Hercules?

I have discovered that my 1950 Coventry Eagle tandem has two. It is a sprung loaded ball bearing.

Cost to build up with new spokes and labour £24

Back on the Hercules after some minor adjustments and now it's firing on all cylinders so to speak .

And I found another rock to rest it against .

Just had my first Hercules ride since January and it still feels smooth to ride , I even treated it to a bit chain cleaning as well .

Shame on me, how could l have been suspicious Thanks for drawing my attention to Recycle whilst we ride....l will participate in future, not sure how l would get takeaway pizza boxes into my bottle holder though !!
