No, the real answer is to leave her. Possessive or what.

What happens when she leaves the house (assuming she ever does)? She might trip off the pavement, or slip on some stairs, bang her head and die, or she might get hit by a car. Do you tag her?

This level of relationship is potentially the start of something dangerously controlling and to be honest it makes me glad to be single! I get the odd "well be careful" from my Dad and my sister who's the closest person I know (twin) always says "enjoy the ride" but the only person who tried to stop me riding or laid on the guilt trips was my ex.

What am I doing wrong? My hubby never asks where I am going, how long it will take or anything else for that matter. He pumps my tyres for me, makes sure I have a phone with me, tells me to take as long as I want and then heads indoors for a date with his box-set of Doctor Who. He'd be worried, though, if the dog walk took longer than usual.................. probably think that that I'd lost the dogs. ^_^

Blimey, it's simple really. The key here is not about tracking, but to get her to stop worrying about you cycling. Cures the problem at the root cause and saves complication. My advice is this, just before you go out, tie her to a chair with tape over her mouth and leave a carving knife visible but out of reach... then she'll have something else to think about while you enjoy your hobby guilt free .... ;)

It seems like nowadays, some folks have a lot of fear. Fear of others, fear of drivers who may hit you out on the road, So it's not odd for someone to worry when you are out on the road. But that can go too far. Four walls do not a prison make, but a little fear sure can create one.

I worry about my husband when he is out but I don't feel the need to track him!! He lets me know a rough route and a rough time he will be back and off he goes. Your wife obviously cares about you but this seems a little over the top!! I'm afraid if my hubby wanted to track me he would be getting told to get a grip lol

My wife worries about me when I am out. Not to the extent that she gets into a state but she is always relieved when I get home. I know it's concern not mistrust. She likes me to give her a call when I am having a rest break off the bike if I am on a long ride. She did have some dog tags made for me and insists I wear them whenever I go out on the bike.
