Help! I need an air rifle

Feed them rats, and let them run after the rats.

I'm certainly no lover of rats, but will an air rifle kill them or just injure them. From what little I know about them an injured rat can also be dangerous as it may not be able to run away, so will possibly turn on you if you happen to get close without seeing it on the ground!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Its not very nice apparently.

My brother had problems with mice. He bought a pretty powerful 'toy' pellet gun. It shot plastic pellets and killed the mice. It'd have to be a head shot, though, to take out a rat, I suspect.

Terriers do not need some chav trying to get kicks out of death. They will do their job, and mostly do it quickly. No need for it to be filmed.

The other evening I looked out of a back window about 6 times, and every time there was one hopping over the lawn and under the fence.

It was probably the same one just out for his evening's exercise!

how about a catapult instead? easier to hide when plod comes knocking at the door and ammo's cheap, just nick a few handfuls of red chippings from a neighbour's drive. Load up 4 or 5 stones for the 'shotgun' effect, not that I've ever tried it myself of course.
