I know, I'm sorry. This is why I have always resisted the urge to comment in helmet debates but it is like Pandoras box and once you start you can't stop!
I do. All the time. But have never really been convinced that they necessarily will make a difference in an accident, most of the time.
Years ago way back when I was in my teens we would usually ride about acting foolish (as teens do) and every so often I would go over the handlebars and hit my head on the ground, all I would get would be a bump on the head, and even a couple of years ago I was involved in an accident with a car, I hit my head on the windscreen and only got a small bump on the head, I'm sure if I was wearing a helmet it would probably had cracked or broken in two and then everyone would be saying how it saved my life.
