My wife and I differ about how to use mugs during the day

so I was wondering what other people do so I thought I would ask you lot

I could just ask in the retirement thread - but there are some weird people on there!!!! (including me sometimes!)

anyway lets see what people say!

Reuse glasses all day. We have a coaster in the kitchen for each of us. When done we put it back on our own coaster and reuse. Only time not if something will go off like milk for the kids. Cut down massively on the washing up.
Wife reuses coffee mugs as she’s the only one .

If the hot beverages are close together then we reuse. If they've dried and gone sticky at the bottom then it's a new cup. If it's changed from tea to coffee or vice versa then it's a new cup. We just have loads of mugs and a dishwasher so we don't worry much about the number used in a day

Same here. Mrs Badger has no truck with re-use.

Rinse when empty and put in the rack to drip out, and then re-use when required. Wash up at the end of the day.

The exception is something like hot chocolate, which has its own separate (yeah, I know!) mug, and goes straight to be washed up.

I have a separate mug for hot chocolate too. It's a dark green and I can't drink tea out of it because of the colour - weird I know.

I rinse mugs as soon as I've finished the drink so don't get a residue for the next drink.

My older 'Land Rover' mug was worse, that has a crust that can be felt, almost like geological strata!
(I use a tin-mug at work, it doesn't matter if I knock it out of the locker, it won't break)

I've been known to have tea, then a coffee, then perhaps a soup all without washing in between....

Hot Chocolate then a Coffee later is nice mocha-lite taste as well.

I have a pink "Hello Kitty" pottery mug for tea, but a "Felix" bone china mug for hot choccy. Hot chocolate always seems to taste better from the bone china mug... Weird but true LOL

At home I use the same mug, wash it after every use.
At work I make myself a large flask before my shift, take the flask with me to wherever I'm allocated, drink from the same cup (top of flask), wash the lot at the end of my shift.
