Don't use my normal starter word, I think, as it did so well yesterday. Lightning doesn't strike twice in the same place. But after such a poor first word, I go back to it for the second line. And the word is now obvious!

Obvious is more than 5 letters.

Ok, That was the same word I had last night, supposedly half an hour before it changed, and listed then as wordle 313. So not really done in 2.

It would appear the word changes a few hours before it is supposed to, but the listed number only changes when the word was supposed to change.

It would be interesting to find out just when it really changes, as there were people saying they must have a different word to me at about 8:30 last night, when it is supposed to change at midnight.

Don't forget, the change is local time specific.

But it is clear that while the sequence number changes then, the word (for me) doesn't. And some people here in the UK are seeing different words to the one I am seeing at certain times.

The word I saw at 11:30pm last night (as 313) is still the same one I saw this morning (as 314), which is also the one you and brumjim were seeing at 7:30am yesterday, when I had a completely different word.

Yesterday I thought I'd do a "what if" replay using a different starter word. So on another laptop I set off. It was impossible, and clearly a different word. How could this be?

It was only after I'd failed, utterly baffled that I realised that it was because I have my phone colours set to "colour blind" mode and was completely misinterpreting what the coloured squares on the laptop meant.
