This is exactly what I was on about. Anyone daft enough to be reading this thread before attempting the Wordle would know that the word has an anagram with all letters in different positions, which narrows down the options significantly.

Don’t get me wrong, I’m not advocating posting untagged spoilers in this thread and I’m not saying that what Steve posted wasn’t a blatant spoiler - I’m merely pointing out that seeing other people’s feedback DOES give you information, and that that in itself may be a spoiler for you if you’re (daft enough to be) looking in this thread before having solved the day’s Wordle. That’s all.

Most people follow the pattern of a little comment about whether they found it hard, or whether they got lucky or what the weather is like or so on, or no comment at all. Plus the graphics using the "share" button on the wordle website.

It's how the thread has worked for 817 pages and we get along just fine. Just don't post spoilers - even spoilers with spoiler tags should go in the other thread please.

I believe this is correct.

I've stopped posting my daily graphic partly because I feel, for reasons given by others above, that the information given is already too spoilerific if such things matter. Also because I always felt more motivated to post when I'd had a good one, which isn't really playing fair.
