I completely agree and good luck to the guy. A beautifully simple game which I enjoy for a few minutes every day. It will be interesting to see how NYT handle this. I don't like ads in games and I'm happy to pay a reasonable fee for an ad free version in the way I to use CC. I have 4-5 I'm happy to pay a small fee to use. Hopefully NYT will do something of this sort.

It's mildly entertaining just now, but it could get boring in the long term. It's not enjoyable enough that I would be paying for the privilege. It's not even the money, but the principle of caving in to some corporate greed. For that reason I will be out - if it comes to paying, or even signing up to the NYT..

You can't really blame him although I do wonder how much effort running Wordle really is. Now he's set it all up doesn't it just run itself? Anyway, seven figures is pretty good although they really should have offered him five.

Its no effort for him having written it, but then its also no effort to collect $1m+. Lets face it we would all do exactly the same thing faced with such an offer - indeed probably offers...

First time I've managed it in 2!
I've been starting nerdles with 27 * 4 = 108, which has served me quite well.
I tend to begin French wordles with TEMPS, but they soon degenerate into trial-and-error whereby I'm not really sure if what I'm inputting are cromulent words. Even so, I've succeeded on every on I've tried!
