Spoiler: I probably don't need to spoilerise this any more but just in case...

It was 'courd'. It was just a pure guess as I got a bit stuck and thought it must be an 'our' sound. Anyway, it looks like it's an acceptable word in some, but not all games of scrabble, appearing in the Collins dictionary but not the tournament dictionary. Apparently it's an archaic version of 'covered'.

Also, to my surprise and delight, it turns out that 'minge' is a playable word...

Thanks but there are others doing it in many more languages. I wouldn’t have a clue in Norwegian or German and the only five-letter French word that comes to mind is merde!
