I have three starter words which I rotate. I dropped two others when I realised one letter doesn't appear often, today I've noticed another letter I use in the starter hardly ever appears in the word so I'm trying to think of a new starter word.

I have certain criteria for my starter words. Do other players?

Common sense (and probability) would strongly favour careful choice of one's starter word(s).

I use a word with three vowells in it, then depending on the hit I try and find a 2nd word with the missing vowells or concentrate on finding the consenants.
Seem to find it difficult on the 3rd row sometimes, when I've locked into some of the letters, but can't think of words with alternative missing letters.

Three vowels, and two other common letters.

Some people prefer to try and eliminate consonants first, but I prefer to try and get a few hits in the first guess.

So something like arise, or aired or outed
