Slightly confused why the streak is 1 fewer than the number of wins…

You may have missed a day.

A few days (nights) ago I remembered i hadn't looked at the day's Wordle. Went to the site at a couple of minutes to midnight but didn't solve it until a couple of minutes past the hour. The notice came up - Next Wordle 23:57:00. Yep, so I missed a day and, therefore, the streak.

Question is - Did the word change halfway through the solving?
