As I know the answer I'm fascinated by why @Cirrus and @Dirk chose the word they did? It would never have occurred to me. One thing I enjoy about this thread is the apparently very diverse approach people have to the same puzzle.

It's an odd one, I simply thought I'd try a different opening word but wanted it to end with the letter it did and that was the only word I could think of in the moment, so very lucky.
