Have I outgrown my Charge Spoon?

Take this: Toupe's are good. As a saddle anyhow, not as a hairpiece.

I used to think that until I tried a charge spoon, funny old world.

Have you tried a Charge Knife? Similar shape to a Spoon, but less padding and I guess a bit narrower. I've used Spoons before I thought they were OK, but the Knife is still my saddle of choice.

I have a Spoon on my winter bike. On the best bike I have a Fizik Arione, slightly longer and narrower than the Spoon (I find it more comfortable), as you can move forward and back on it depending if you are on the rivet or just cruising. PlanetX do a similair saddle to the Arione at a fraction of the price of a new Fizik, although I haven't tried one so can't be certain they would be as comfortable.

I get on well with the boardman saddles which are another arione clone and look very similar to the planet x saddle.The charge is ok but i never felt any more comfy on it .

Try a Specialized avatar 145 , by far the comfiest saddle i ever used , having said that all bums are different ! As in posts above try adjusting saddle position first

I have been riding my Ribble (winter bike) the last couple of days which has a spoon on it. It hasn't half made me realise how uncomfy it is compared to my Arione. I am sure I could get use to it again but I think I will look around for a second hand Arione.

Never found the Avatar very comfy, even the 130 seems too wide,- as you say, all bums are dfferent.
