He can't come back now he's posted a blog post saying why he's left. He'd look bloody foolish if he came back after that, especially as I've copied it in case he does.
Interesting to note that quite a few people on that thread don’t post anymore and no one paid any attention. He's got previous guvnor ... https://www.cyclechat.net/threads/drago-where-has-he-gone.202228/#post-4309207 Repeat Offender your honour's
Nah, tongue in cheek. I'm always slightly amused at the where's Drago threads. This is actually the third one, hence my Beetlejuice comment. I'm bemused by his pulling power but clearly he's got it, however, his blog post seemed pretty final. That's the trouble with blogs, you can't pretend you just nipped out for some air. That reads a tad nasty, was it meant to?
That wasn't true a couple of months ago. Just five warnings in a year resulted in a site-wide day ban. I thought it was automatic (and not quite optimally configured). No, he's not. It does require a lot of determined effort to get even a short ban.
5 warnings is quite a determined effort, IMHO. Most members never, ever get even one. That wasn't true a couple of months ago. Just five warnings in a year resulted in a site-wide day ban. I thought it was automatic (and not quite optimally configured).
That would not leave many people on here. It's always the good ones that go, just for once it would be nice if it was one of the real nobbers
Well, there are 43,000+ members. I doubt most of them will even post again, so I think that's true if misleading.5 warnings is quite a determined effort, IMHO. Most members never, ever get even one.
What a pity that people chose to complain to the mods rather than to the poster, giving that poster a chance to voluntarily delete his/her own post before incurring the wrath of the moderators. I actually find that a little bit cowardly. The filters , such as they are, are the filters made by the many posters that complain about seeing unsuitable content on CC.
That's often a judgement call, not things covered by hard and fast rules.
Please remember that the Mods are not full time staff members - we're volunteers, and we tend to act as a team.
At least 90% of moderation is reactive - we act on complaints, or (rarely) if we see something while we're using CC ourselves.
@Drago hasn't been banned and I hope he comes back soon.
