Doesn't everyone head out like this?

Personally I think so, but then fashion has always had a hold on so many things. Why anyone would spend £200 plus on a top is beyond me but people do. It won't make you ride any faster or better. There are many arguments for the latest 'must haves' but ultimately marketing gets to me most. For me apart from safety hats is gravel bikes. I have a hefty (by comparison) tourer which does gravel perfectly well. Also mud, rain and snow. I have one pair of wheels that cope with it all. Horses for courses as they say.

I'm the very antithesis of fashion.. Even been known to wear flappy shorts on a road bike occasionally!
