Has anyone ever bought 3 cucumbers at once?

Marmite & Cucumber sandwiches... 😍

I've never had them, but I will try them. I've never come across any sandwich that wasn't improved by Marmite.

vis a vis various supermarkets imposing limits of 3 items on various bits of salad and fruit.

You cant stock pile salad anyway and who needs 3 cucumbers at once?

(no smutty jokes please)

pasta and bog rolls it is not.

Aldi is one of the culprits imposing the 3 item limit, but only on cucumber, toms and peppers. 'My' store is next to fruit and veg merchant and they'd buy all our cucumbers every day if we let them (iceberg lettuce too). I've counted out 100 cucumbers for them on several occasions!

My local grocer has everything. No shortages there.

Mine is all over facebook at the moment. I'm about to take a trip, we'll see what they have.

Edit:

Here we go, no shortages I can see.

They were reporting a shortage of turnips & carrots on Radio 4 this morning.
What's Terrie Turnip going to put her foot in next.
I haven't bought Marmite for a long time. I might buy some to try on my oatcakes when the peanut butter runs out.
I stopped buying it and switched to Tesco's own brand after they changed the recipe ~15-20 years ago. It's a rich brown colour with a savoury taste, like Marmite used to be before they changed it to a yellowy-brown colour with a taste like bitter alloes. I've just finished a peanut butter sandwich and a Tescomite sandwich.

Ah, I didn't realise that it had been changed... That might explain why I went off it!

The Tesco version gets very good AND very bad reviews. I'll try it and see for myself.

Making strawberry ice cream with the kids, fresh strawberries from Spain, no problem.

Still not very seasonal of course, but the kids want what they know.
