That wheel set is one I was considering for a build I am mentally planning, so I would ask on thoughts on them in real life. Guessing with the problems you have had with them you aren't in love with them though.

I wonder of it is just your wheel or something inherent to the wheel set.

Will have a chat with lbs if I ever manage to get there. They may have ideas about a different build.

Tbh, I wouldn't have chosen them if I'd built it myself they're only 28 hole rims. I'd have put in some hope 32 hole pro 2 or 3's. I'm going to have a go today and get it somewhere near and if the spokes hold and stay tensioned I'll get another lbs to sort it. If it doesn't stay true once I fettled it then at least I'll know the wheel is an odd ball and probably buy a hope rear wheel.

Well I've gotten it somewhere near, the wheel is off centre a bit but if the spokes stay tight I'll take it to another lbs. If it doesn't hold then at least I'll know if it's the rim.

I had another go today using Sheldon's elastic band and rule across the stays method...with a twist, I added 2 cable ties. It made quite an effective Heath Robinson wheel truing station.

The rim is defo knackered (the lbs admitted today it was bent, but they thought they'd sorted it...a phone call to me and I'd have said stick a new rim on..idiots). So I've got it as near as it's ever going to be, a slight flat spot but the 37mm tyres handle it and the tyre is running true. I've a 35 mile commute tomorrow, if it stay true, great! If not I'll nip into another lbs and buy a new pair of wheels.
