Thanks for all the comments, it's much appreciated, although I thought you'd all be sick of the sight of me by now!! :chuckle:
I'm currently getting harassed by everyone here hence the delayed reaction.

Annyway, yes, the op was a bit of a mess in the end, turns out my bladder had prolapsed over the remains of the stump (where my bum was) left after the last op, so they had to fix that just to get to where they were planning to go to, and when they got there, they found that the stump itself was too badly damaged to continue with the work as they don't think the connection would have held. The fact remains though that they didn't really know until they opened me up anyway (apparently scans wouldn't have helped much as regards to locating the stump).

If he had known the surgeon would never have done it. Also that is me, I can't have the reversal now, but...... Hey ho, at least we know now, so that's that.

Anyway, thanks for all your replies, Pat has just appeared here too, so you now doubt will hear about it all later on!!
