Guinness Drought

I tried the draught Guinness can last night and was fairly disappointed. I think I’ll stick to beers like Dark Island, McEwan’s Champion and Old Jock.

Dark Island is definitely a nice beer. I always look out for when I go to Scotland.

Try to find Guinness in a bottle as it is much nicer than the draught cans which just taste like a bad pint imo.

My wife will drink more stout or guinness than I do - if we go to the local micro pub, she'll get one of the Porters.

there is a pub in Wells that sells it, which is why I walked out.

I've only seen them in the bars at cricket and rugby clubs, and a hotel bar recently, but not in an actual pub pub. I've learned to double check.

Here's an interesting one from many years back, touring Malaysia

Had a couple of bottles of this 8% stuff in a bar there, proper headbanger gear - seemed like a good idea at the time.
This one I took back as a souvenir, still unopened, expired in 2008.
I'll be back in Blighty mid March, few days before St Pats, which is nice.
Local 'Spoons back there does a decent pint of the black stuff, due to a high turnover.
A lot of my friends are second generation Irish like myself, so the occasion must be celebrated in fine style

Our Morrisons's has been out of Guinness for the last few weeks. We've had to buy Brewdog Black Heart instead, which is ok and not as heavy as Guinness. I can still only drink a couple before I feel like I've eaten 9 roast dinners

Yes, the theatre does the same for that reason but they don't have any fancy machines. You just a tin from the fridge if you order Guinness.
