No great loss, a triumph of marketing millions and BS over substance :okay:

Fortunately, proper stouts are available ^_^

I agree that a few more stout options would be nice but most pubs are going to stick with what they can sell.
Realistically not many people are drinking 8% stout.

I’ve never tasted it, but I noticed there’s plenty of it in my local Aldi (4x440ml cans for £4.99) so I’ve bought some. I’m looking forward to trying it…

There's two types of zero alcohol beers, those that are modified versions of existing beers, and those that are standalone creations.

Of the modified ones Guinness Zero really is top class, the only trouble is it's that good that I find the first one disappears in five minutes, and three mouthfuls, of pouring.

I only visit pubs every now and then and I wouldn't buy Guinness in a pub anyway as to me they overcharge for the stuff. They still have that draught Guinness in my local Tesco. There's one where you have to get your glass ready on opening the tin as it spurts all over the place and there's one that you put some kind of contraption on top of the can to make it like draught Guinness....I think. 🤔 The last time I had Guinness in a 'pub' must be about 10 or so years ago, when in my window cleaning days, on a rare very hot summer's day I'd have a 'down in one' pint of Guinness shandy after cleaning the windows of Little Harwood, Blackburn Conservative club...on the house of course!

Guinness are one of the cleverest marketing organisations known to mankind. And womankind as my wife loves a pint of the stuff too.

So can't help thinking that this is a deliberate ploy to build up a reputation as being something special, and then we will see prices and production increase. Just a little too much press coverage for this to be accidental.

Probably get shot down in flames on a thread about Guinness, but if I'm driving and limit the amount of alcohol I drink I will buy a can or two of the Guinness zero alcohol. One of the better zero beers imo.

I shall get a few tinnies of that based on the multiple recommendations on here. I do seem to be drinking rather too much beer these days so substituting a semi-reasonable pretend beer for some of my intake would be a sensible move.

I don't generally drink Guinness, unless of course I'm in Ireland when it's delicious! Found UK Guinness generally quite poor but that could be because I've only tended to drink it in places lacking any decent beer, so chances are their Guinness is sub-par too.
