The pub I was in last night had no Guinness, and the bar where my daughter works has started rationing it at certain times.
They have been told they will only be getting a delivery 2 barrels for the next few weeks, and can usually go through 7-10 barrels per week.

Anyone else seen a lack of the black stuff.

The press are saying that guinness consumption has risen rapidly and the brewery can’t keep up, as people move away from bland lager. But someone at Guinness has dropped the ball here. They must be losing millions.

There is no alternative either, in most pubs. I suspect Murphys and London Black will sell a few more pints.

All you English twerps should keep drinking that Newcastle brown ale shite and leave the real beer to us Irishmen.

As a long standing Guinness drinker, can us Scots be included in the "leave the real beer to us...." bit?
It's good that people are finally waking up to the fact that lager is tasteless, fizzy pish. But not so good that there is now a shortage. Just in time for Christmas, too. That's my traditional gift to my nephew in jeopardy.

Probably get shot down in flames on a thread about Guinness, but if I'm driving and limit the amount of alcohol I drink I will buy a can or two of the Guinness zero alcohol. One of the better zero beers imo.

It’s fantastic stuff.
The best non alcoholic beer in my opinion.
A little trick we use at my rugby club is to buy the 0% 440ml can, pour it into the glass, then top up the last inch with real Guinness.
This gives an almost perfect pint which is less than 1% alcohol.
