I'm almost afraid to ask this - but what are you expecting the upgrade to achieve?
Just want better group set I had 105 on another ex bike and the difference to Sora was a lot, just better shifting, better everything really,I know it's not going to turn me into Chris froome ,

How much difference apart from weight is the ultegra to 105, I had 105 on an ex bike and the difference to me in my option was a lot ,105 was far superior in everything, crisp gear change just felt so smooth ,so is the difference in Ultegra even better or just weight gain,as 105 is £100 cheaper.

Anecdotally at least the 11 speed 105 is better than the old 10 speed so you might be happy enough with that and the £150

Ribble have the same deal I think bit cheaper by £20,and they are up the road from me,but the ultegra price you gave is the cheapest I've seen
Makes sense to get Ribble to fit it too then

Yes @vickster thats what I was thinking ,unless there is a really good one off deal for ultegra then 105 is prob my best bet, like you said it's 11 speed better than the older version, but never had ultegra so I couldn't comment on that

I had the 11 spd 105 on my BMC when it came from the shop, so I can vouch for it being a good upgrade.
What impressed me most about it was the front mech shifting; very light and smooth.
I only changed it because I got a Dura ace Di2 groupset.
I have also Ultegra Di2 on my Roubaix and a mechanical Ultegra groupset on my TT bike. IMHO Ultegra mechanical is butter smooth every shift(obviously if it's indexed properly). But ultimately the 105 11spd is a damn good groupset for the money.
Never used Sram but I am soon getting the Sram red e-tap groupset for my TT bike. Heard good things about it, so we'll see.
Good luck with whatever you choose btw.
