PS It is surprising to me that LEJOG is as much as a quarter of the distance of JOGNY - I would have guessed about half that!

The LEJOG distance (874 miles) is by road = 1405km (it's 970km/602 miles straight line so about 18%).
JOGNY straight line is 5193km (depending on which map projection is used): that's using the Haversine formula and the distance shown on the sign (3230 miles).

My 5th visit to jog last year , & I found out for myself jumping on the ferry to Orkney then Shetland. I can't recommend it enough if time & weather is on your side. It's fabulous.
