Funnily enough I was putting off going out. I think it was because I was told explicitly to do just a very short journey of less than a mile, and I just couldn't work up the enthusiasm for it because it seemed so pointless.

I cycled to fat club on Saturday morning, which is less than half a mile away (and back, obviously). I sprinted and it was ACE!

I'm off out tomorrow morning too, aiming for 10ish miles

I don't much fancy my commute to be honest. It's not a nice route: busy roads into the middle of Manchester, then busy roads UP HILL ALL THE WAY to Oldham. I reckon it'd take me about 2 hours, I'd get to work exhausted and sweaty and possibly squished by a lorry. Better than going by bus though...

Somewhat OT now, but I was quite shocked by the anti-cyclist mentality at work. "I hate cyclists" and moaning about how "they get in the way and hold me up". I was not impressed.
