I bought a pair of silk under gloves from Decathlon today, what a difference! And only £4.95 too!

I bought some Altura liner gloves to put inside my windproof ones, and they helped a lot. I seem to remember they were about £6 from Evans. Hands still not toasty on really cold days - cold, but not painfully so.

I'm surprised the sheild ones didnt keep your hands warm I've worn mine in temps of -3 to -5 and find them warm and comfy. I'd say buy liners for in them.

Is it possible to get a winter glove(thermal and windproof) that also has the gel pads on palm for those who suffer with problems with ulna nerves on longer rides please? Thanks

Have a look at these. I love them, (as do several other posters) The gel patches are good.

I use sealskinz as well, but the ones that look like they`re knitted. Waterproof , breathable, and windproof. They are good, no cold fingers on the bike or at work (contract window cleaning) but thin enough for dexterity.
