Just finished watching highlights. Chapeau Healy! That was a super, superb, classy ride. Very strong and confident in his own ability to go from so far out. Impressive and great to watch.
And also chapeau to Gee! 🇨🇦 Yay! 🇨🇦 As he is TTer, I had hoped he might make top 20 tomorrow but to beat Zane and Barguil uphill was totally unexpected.
So good to see more youngsters coming thru to challenge the old timers and on their own terms.

If you bet £2, at 8/1, that returns £16, but e/w pays 1/5 which is a return of £3.20. Or is my arithmetic rubbish?

Basically...on a two quid e/w bet at 8/1 for a win you'd get 23.20 which would be 19.20 profit.2,3 rd place is hardly worth it be about a fiver return,so basically you're money back.More about covering you're bet.

Depends what the rain does.
Jens Voight seems to be trying to talk up Remco may be tired based on losing Roglič yesterday, or nervous in the wet because of his crashes. I think he's trying to kid himself there's some suspense to keep himself awake through a time trial.
The other pundit, possibly Lisa Brenauer, is talking about crossing the Rubicon on the way to Rome in something BC. It's almost worth watching the ITT to hear what detours the commentary takes. I'd forgotten this was that Rubicon.
