I think its a case of perseveering. Ive used mine on about 10 rides now with plenty of stopping. It takes me a couple of efforts each time i re set off to get the 2nd foot in but im getting quicker. No pressure it will come

These will recess a spd cleat in a road shoe. I use them on a pair of Specialized BG shoes. All my other pedals are spd anyway, Gez

Smash the cistern
SPDs (other 2 bolt cleat systems are available) are great if clipping in and out frequently, such as when commuting, but for long rides I much prefer my road pedals. I feel so much more comfortable and connected to the bike. Just practice, you'll get the hang of it.
