Ah.... this reminds me of the time someone suggested it would be better if we had an oldies forum where the same posts are repeated each week and we could all tell the same anecdotes....

Splendid idea Beanz, wish I'd thought of it..

Matters for discussion

Aways shop on a Saturday and meet friends for lengthy chats... middle of the isle is favourite
Cheap rate afternoon cinema with free coffee and biscuits
Using your free bus pass at peak times
Going away at Christms to avoid visiting children/grandchildren
Why going out once a week is enough
Babysitting avoidance tactics
All illness no matter how minor is terminal...
Offering advice without being asked.. compulsory
Having a decent pension and no mortgage... gloat
Only 2% interest on your 200k fixed rate bond...

Watch it Paulus

Just because some of us get Fuel Allowance, it doesn't mean we're old. ;)

I'm due mine next year, the misses gets it already. What made me feel old was the eldest sons birthday in the summer, I suddenly realised he was the same age that I was when I first met the misses.

How many misses did you meet? ;)

Has anybody thought of starting up an oldies forum? We could tell our stories, that kind of thing, maybe even discuss bus passes!

You mean this isn't one?
