Well done on the results, lads!

The best education you can get is out on the road (travelling, and cycling too); get out there!

nice to see that you guys have the sense to know that what you have is good enough for what you want to do next.

i've never understood the point of putting yourself through hell to get all As when a good collection of Cs and Bs is plenty good enough.

one of my classmates got 9 As at o level, which burnt her out to the extent that she dropped out of 6th form within a year.

I know what you mean, my mate got straight A*s all across the results, something wrong about that!

Well done. Don't believe what anyone says about A-levels, all they do is act as a uni entry if you go straight from college - GCSE's are the most important exams you'll ever do. It took me a few years to realise this and I still maintain that now 13 years after I took mine (ah! I can't believe I'm 29!). Not that is matters now as you all did well.

Congrats guys!

Whatever you are doing for AS-levels and on to A2, remember that all your results count, so no slacking! Use those free-periods for study as much as you can. Being serious for a moment, it was not that long ago my son did his A-levels; he's just about to go into second year at university. When he was studying for his A-levels, the folk that did well were the ones who worked consistently hard throughout the two years. The ones who performed poorly were the ones who eased off in the AS year of study and then all of a sudden crapped themselves when they realised that no, they weren't going to get a place at their university & course of choice after all and were having to go through clearing. So start your A-level studies in a positive frame of mind, work hard, do the coursework, do the background reading/study, and don't leave the coursework to the last minute!

Then you can enjoy yourselves

What wafflycat said. Free periods are for study! I spent mine with my girlfriend in various reposes :becool: and look where I am now. No seriously, give the girls a miss or at least plan your time better than I did. Work as hard as you can consistently to get to your University of choice. Then you can go mad.:biggrin:

Nah - Wafflycat Minor cycled to and from his place of education pretty much every day, in all weathers. The only times he got a lift were on examination days and if he was a bit under the weather. I am a hard, hard woman.

Good planning is the key.

Some places of education keep one afternoon a week free for sports/recreation. Good idea - use that for some cycling if possible, but all other free periods for study. Told you - I'm a hard, hard woman.
