Ive just bought the 800 and it has the City Navigator Europe map on it, but how the hell do i get it on the 800 from the card its on, its not on the mini one its on the card about an inch square.
Ive copied the card over to my hard drive but thats as far as i can go.

Have you tried just inserting the mini one into the Garmin?

Its not on the mini/micro one its on the larger card about an inch square and the 800 has only a slot for the micro card.

Get a Micro SD card. Copy it onto that and put into the 800. Now, just check the map card isn't a micro SD adapter - i.e. is there a micro SD slotted into the normal SD card.

I wish it was an adaptor, i cant believe for the price of the adaptor they dont include a micro card.

I have the 800 with the 1:50k OS maps. I'm sure it should be a similar set up with the City Navigator, the micro card should be in the main SD card.

Ok another question, im guessing in this crappy weather getting a signal is a longshot, is that the way the time is set on the 800 because ive looked everywhere to try and change it.

I have never found a manual time change, only ever by GPS. If you are setting it up inside you may struggle as I did first time. Outside, even in this weather should pick it up.

Just went outside(not a good idea) and yep the time eventally changed, i put in a postcode and the map was like a breadcrumb route(birdseye), i thought it was supposed to be like a road height sort of view like tom toms.

Got an 800 the other day. So far I've found it pretty frustrating. I think I picked the wrong bundle too, as I got the Ordnance Survey maps and the City Navigator would have suited me better.

Regarding the Micro SD card – I worked this out, because I've seen micro SD before, but you'd think on the piece of paper that comes with it Garmin could tell you it's inside an adaptor.
I'm sure it's a great unit once you figure it out, but no proper printed manual, and the pdf turns out to be more a list of functions rather than a 'how-to' – not the way to do it. Luckily I've found a few blogs that tell you more than Garmin do.

So good luck with yours – and gawd help me with mine! :-)
