One of the many problems with Garmin's over-enthusiastic product development is that if something is broke, it doesn't necessarily get fixed before they've jumped onto the next one. And the next one usually comes with a whole new set of bugs and issues. Having read multiple reviews of the 810, I'm inclined to agree with the likes of DC Rainmaker, that much of the new features haven't been properly implemented (phone links) and/or are based on the wrong technology (Bluetooth 2.1 not 4.0 or Smart). The 510 has GLONASS satellite support, the 810 doesn't....Perhaps they might fix these issues on the next top-of-the-line model. Having just suffered USB port failure on a second 705, I'd settle for them sorting out long-term reliability.....
