Aye, as @Scoosh cleverly noticed, the train no like us Weegies
I did this route as a CTC ride some time ago, and quite enjoyed it. I don't know of cake stop options, though.
Draw up a short Lanarkshire Loop (east from Airdrie) based on roads I done before, I forgotten how hilly the area is though if you want to avoid main roads. Perhaps if Lanarkshire was a option it would be best to be blown by the wind fro Airdrie to Bathgate, via The Cupcake Cafe (Torphicken) and folks can take the train east or west.
I don't mind as long as it's within sensible cycling distance of Glasgow......
Newtonmore/ Kingussie ???
Why nothing in Lanarkshire ?
As long as there's a tailwind!
Seem to recollect someone mentioning a Bealach na Ba ride in the past......oh wait, that was me!
Nothing good ever starts or finishes in Hamilton or Larkhall ....The route of the round Strathaven 50 would be a good day out. Start/finish in Hamilton or Larkhall
