What about turning it over ?
I've done that with sheets of plasterboard.Reminds me of the tale, I think from on here, where someone had noted that when installing carpet it was much much easier to cut from the back. He had the bright idea of doing the whole fitting & cutting with the carpet upside down, then turning over at the end.
It would presumably have been a perfect fit for the house next door
