Hi,
If your planning on changing the wheels, tyres and forks then
simply buying a better bike like the Triban 3 seems a good idea.

My road bike is very similar to a basic Viking model, can't remember
the model name. The aluminium frame is strong but not particularly
light and I see little advantage in trying to upgrade the steel forks.

I'd expect cheap forks to be about the same as fitted.

Decent tyres are worthwhile if it comes with very budget tyres.

Got the bike today and it has a standard back wheel and tyre which is a viking Roma

And the front has r500 wheel

So looking to get a r500 back wheel to match and two new fresh tyres.... Not sure which ones

But the front end is really light so no need to change n e thing just the back

Looking at the online reviews, I'd change the rear cassette for one with a bigger range, like a 12-27, as you've got a serious set of chainrings up front at 52/42, you might struggle on hills and get some softer brake blocks like koolstops. Review also mentions the handlebar shape is awkward, if you find that, get some compact bars. It also mentions the tyres gave a harsh ride so maybe a good call changing them. Then ride it for a bit and see.

Hmmm.,

The bike already has different front and rear tyres.

FWIW I've got a Schwalbe 30mm Speed Cruiser on the rear and and a Michelin 32mm
City Road on the front. I'm sure the rear is a Michlelin City Road, not sure about the front.

I'd change one tyre, keeping the City. In my case its on the front, slicker on the back.
