So do most bikes take a standard forks then just asking because I am getting a viking and I am told the forks are heavy...

Are they all

No they aren't.

IMO now you've got the bike just get on it and form your own opinion.

If the forks are steel then yes they will be heavy, but what have to got to compare them too? They'll probably feel fine.

However, if you do feel the front end is heavy and/or crashy after a a few rides then look into changing the forks.

Would it be rude to ask why you didn't spend more on the bike in the first place and perhaps have got lighter or carbon forks as standard?

Just asking question that's all fella....
No worries.

Just in case I see some cheap ones that's all......
I presume you're considering carbon forks? If so then forget the word cheap. Not that you can't get cheap ones, but forks are not a component I'd scrimp on TBH.

Whether they are carbon, alu or new lighter steel ones, if they fail at 40 mph you are going to hurt for a good while :B)

Because I am rubbish at saving money m8 and I don't mind getting a average frame and putting good extra on it like forks pedals wheels ef

Depends on what your comparing it too, they might be heavier than a carbon fork but compared to a front susser it will be light.

Why not save a few extra quids and get a Triban 3 from Decathlon, it'll have triple gearing, a carbon fork on a nicely made aluminium frame and good brakes.
If it's too late to change your decision I would spend money on better wheels and tyres, they'll have much more effect than a lighter fork.
