I have a compact 105 5600 front crank, want to upgrade it to a 53 \ 39 but can't simply change the chainrings as the BCD is 110 on the compact and 130 on the 53 \ 39. Will a completely new crank from a 5700 fit straight on or are there differences in the space between the chain rings compared to the 5600 ? I will still want to use the 5600 derailier.

Thanks

There are quite a few manufacturers of larger 110 BCD chainrings - Spa Cycles stock three with rings of 52 (or more)
http://www.spacycles.co.uk/products.php?plid=m2b0s0p0 (go to Components - Gears - Chainrings / Spa / Stronglight / TA)

I'm sure there are others.
Whether they're suitable for 10 speed chains you'll need to determine....
