Also take a close up pic of the caseback as sometimes there is useful model/serial number info on it that can help with the Sherlock Holmes stuff...

I don't wear the thing. Do you wear a watch? Why would anyone wear a watch? There's a clock on my phone, in the car, on my cooker, on may laptop, on my bike computer, in almost any Café you care to go into, every retail outlet - and then there's the receipt; it has the time you bought such n such...
Some time pieces are pretty exquisite and some are aesthetically beautiful. My engineering head wonders just how they work and how much effort goes into a proper mechanical watch but I still wouldn't wear one.
If I had a nice watch (classical aviator style watch: the boy in me likes the little dials within the face), I would be worried about loosing it, scratching it, damaging it, leaving it somewhere 'cos I took it off to wash my hands, having it stolen.

In some ways I'm a bit of a luddite regarding new stuff. Yes I have a mobile phone but I just find it easier to have a watch, especially when it hasn't got a battery to go flat or charge up.

Gave up with watches 20 years ago as I have to wear cut resistant PPE at work including wrist guards that make the watch strap dig into my wrist
