Morning. Very frosty here at first. Sun's out with tufty clouds now.
Up early as wife was cycling of to work. Though I'd lie down for a bit when she went. 2 hour snooze ensued.
Best get up and do summat. First coffee, then baggie sorting. Yuk!
Stroll later.

Morning folks and welcome the latest iteration of The Matrix

WFH today. We gave our outgoing CEO a decent send off last night and got free drinks in return. So felt end of term-ish in more ways than one this week. Plotting my fist outside bike ride since January.

Enjoy your outside bike ride, fist or not.

Does this include older porkers as they are glorified beetle.

My older Porker has the engine in the front (but was assembled by VW using VW/Audi parts). Confused?

Afternoon.

A little bird told me that over there was sinking, but a new thing had arisen, and that it was here.

Nothing really changed here except laziness has more or less fully set in, though I did get the bike out last week to discover the back brake doesn't work. Bleed kit ordered, hopefully fixing will work and I'll be commuting again from late March after a work trip to Cape Town next week.

One more dog on the scene, and 84 days into an alcohol-free 2025. Driving a slightly smaller and bluer tank, though still with the option of battery power or an unnecessary amount of petrol power.

Hope you're all doing well!

Not going down with the ship then?
Have you tried cleaning back brake? Can often be the issue. Take pads out, give brake lever a little squeeze to push pistons out. Clean with rubbing alcohol and an ear bud thingy. Push pistons back in with something blunt and plastic. Squeeze brake again to check pistons are moving out smoothly and evenly. Put pads back on. Might need to squeeze brake lever a few times before use.

There's a wee bell icon on the header if you click on that a list of anybody who has posted on a thread after you've been on will be there, click it again and a list will be displayed that means you can work your way down (or up) it without having to click it again to bring it back up.
If you get 'fed up' with a thread then marking it as 'read' stops these notifications and removes it from the list.

I had that sussed, I was just giving an excuse to Pinno for visiting BR. He can be a bit touch.😉

Most Porker both front and rear engines have parts in common with VW/Audi, just with a different part number and an extra zero or two at the end of the price.
