I'm riding out from Southend to meet the ride at Stock, and then coming back again to go to bed. It looks as though it could become a trifle moist.

I'm a little disappointed, I was under the impression we would be getting cake but I guess moist trifle will suffice.....

Now what to wear? Weather forecasts seem to suggest it may be quite wet but fairly mild. As Lelly is currently set up as the commuter I may leave as is and carry spare clothing in my saddlebag meaning I don't have to worry.

Annoyingly, I cant find the left waterproof booty, as I was just going to wear my running shorts and a waterproof jacket. So, I may have to go with maxrepels biblongs and waterproof boots instead. I am thinking that lotsa rain = lotsa visitations, what also equals alot of standing around...

Thought you was single speeding it Long Mart?

Winter bike has been brought out of hibernation and fettled. No fixed for me tonight I'm afraid. Doesn't look like it's going to be cold, so probably go with roubaix shorts with knee warmers in saddle bag just in case. Light jacket over a merino top to complete the look. And my SMRbtH cap of course.

Now what to wear?

It would be entirely inappropriate for me to suggest Speedos, wouldn't it? (Or is @mmmmartin on this ride?)

Oh dear. Looks like a lot of work for TeCs and consequent lengthy standing around in the wet for wayfinders and, unlike Brighton, precious few trees for protection. I wonder if Mr. Legg's disapproval of mudguards extend to carrying a fold-up umbrella? I rather suspect it does, although I might take the chance.

At least the weather forecast has a favourable wind direction for the section from Stock to Southend-on-Sea, so at least some of the wet stuff will be arriving from a less uncomfortable direction.

Just seen that there are works on the line from Southend Victoria to Liverpool Street, so no trains that way tomorrow. Trains are still running out of Southend Central to Fenchurch Street, but it might be a bit busier. Linky
