Dahon stood down. Since I will be riding a three-speed fixed, a small-wheeled tandem and a rod braked roadster in the space of the weekend, I feel I am getting my share of silly bikes. And I don't want to be too knackered by the time I get to the third...

For plated steel it is best to use Ichorean Terps, otherwise you'll be led a merry dance trying to get the marker pen off.
Bring a tape measure! If it is possible to stop for 10.26 minutes (+/-) to buy Evian, it is possible to stop for 10 seconds to zero in one's seat height I feel. No point in having the bike otherwise.

That's great - a bit late as the damage to the knee is done  - although - now recovering and I will be on my roadbike which fits me like a glove (metaphorically, obviously)! Pity those lovely peeps at Brompton didnt manage a coolio way of marking the stem...!

As for a 10.26 minute stop to buy Evian - that's outrageous. I mean, who would want to spend that amount of time off the bike without getting the beers in?!!

M :hello:

No staying power those Dahons.

That reminds me. Seeing as everyone left early after Hull (lightweights), I am now in possession of the kitty, which stands at £12.22. There were an awful lot of 5p pieces, but I'll substitute some alternative currency.

5 ppieces? That's about how many Davy has during a ride. Take a bow Adam - those who left Hull early need a stern talking to, but I suppose there wasn't avast amount of time before 'setting sail' for home...

Martin, sorry to hear that, is it the ribs?
Sorry to hear that Mart. But best you rest up.
Combination of things really. The ribs ache after a 12 mile commute but that could be due to the backpack. Finding out it's actually due to cycling 30 miles in probably isn't a good idea though. Also my confidence isn't great yet and with the possibility of a damp road in the dark, it's best I stay home for this one I think.
