Oh. My. Dear. God!I found one in the kitchen this morning. I wasn't sure what sort so asked Mrs_R as she's a bit of a nature enthusiast. Apparently it was a Teat Owl.
I read an article a while ago. I think it was in the Lancet, and described eye injuries inflicted by tawny owls. If they feel their young are being threatened, they fly silently up behind you and sink their talons into your eyeballs. The photos in the article were not for the squeamish.Heard about Eric Hosking, the wildlife photographer?
He lost an eye to a tawny owl. I dare you to Google the name of the book he wrote afterwards.

Don’t know, I may email the rescue place tomorrow to see how they’re getting on with the owl.owl ong will it take for the wing to heal before its released
