Seems Planet X are offering additional discounts on flat pack bikes.

... or go along to their warehouse, pick your bike parts and get 20% off? Just tried this with the PYO20 code at the checkout and it duly removed 20% from the price. Nearly ended up with another titanium bike though!

I saw that - seemed like a good idea.

But from what I could see of the recommended tools for the job, it seems that they are not fitting the headset for you.

A very bad idea.

No men's clothing at all!

That light looks like the one they were selling before but with the price reduced - sensibly - it was overpriced. The USB and 4xAA front lights that came before it were excellent - and far far cheaper. Most I paid was about £12 and I got one for £6 I think. I fear the glory days of Lidl and Aldi cycling gear have gone apart from the odd bit.

Agreed... Aldi's £1.99 Gt85 might stop soon too.

The new owners of Gt85 have put it with Zero Fisher as the UK distributor and they refuse to deal with wholesalers and pick and choose who they deal with to control the market.

thanks for this - I usually avoid the temptation to buy more (3 or 4 full tins at the mo I think) but I sense a pedal to Aldi next week - sure I saw some hanging around. Amazing the places that sell it for £5 to £6.

edit - and of course if you have supplies of it you need never wash your bike again.

Yes - I think both ALDI and LIDL lost it some time ago. Gone are the days of good cycling shoes, quality jerseys without logos. base layers, merino kit - useful stuff, pedals even. Demand must have gone - no queues waiting for store to open, as there were some years ago.

You're right about the lack of queues, although that might be down to almost all the Specialbuys being available to order online in advance now. I'm still genuinely surprised at how poor this latest selection from Lidl is.

the saddles might be OK - seem to remember someone praising some cheapo saddles from Lidl or Aldi but can't remember which one.
And I'm still waiting for the twitterstorm, with suitable hashtag, about the scandalous lack of stuff to clothe men.

It was me, the Aldi ones, best thing ever for my bum.
Sadly, they stopped stocking them in my local Aldi.
Not before I got half a dozen though, one for each of my bikes plus 2 to spare ^_^
One got stolen with my favorite bike a couple of years ago

 My approach as well - once you discover something good, especially if cheap, buy lots. For the bike industry will only go and improve/ruin it. And charge way more. Reason I buy most of my saddles as new/secondhand.

What was the branding by the way on that saddle of yours?
