On-one / Planet-X : April Fool Offers and Carbon Frame Price Crash

taken from their e-mail shot

You'd be a fool to miss it...
Probably the craziest offers EVER
The boss of Planet-X is renowned for coming up with mad ideas for promotions and offers. When he called me at 8:30 this morning with his latest one it took me a while to work out if he really meant it. To be honest, I'm still not sure, but it looks like NEXT WEDNESDAY, April the 1st will see our most bonkers offer ever. It'll run for just 12 hours. Midnight to noon. If you've been taking a look at our Ti bikes and frames recently and like what you see, then you're going to want to pay attention.

We've added a new "April Fools Offer" category to the mailing list options - change your settings NOW and include yourself on that list. A newsletter will go out to anyone on the April Fools list at midnight on Weds with all the juicy details - If you miss this one, you'll regret it!

If you buy a titanium bike or frame, you get a carbon sl frame & fork FREE. Amazing deal. If I had £2K handy would get one if the sportive titanium bikes.

There's a secondhand shop in Piccadilly (Manchester) on Oldham Street that often has cycling clothes in. Everything is £3 or less.
Got a short sleeved Crane cycling shirt (£2) and a long sleeved one for £3. Both with a pocket on the back. Also got a Ferari shirt for £1: it's not a cycling shirt, but it's good material for cycling (breathable fabric) so I will use it for cycling sometimes.

Edinburgh Cycle Co

Just got the new Edinburgh Cycle Co Catalogue through the post... they are doing 15% off this weekend all bicycle, accessory and clothing purchases.

I popped in to the Local Morrisson last night and noticed they are doing the Flying Scotsman (Graeme Obree) DVD for £3.99. Typical I bought it when it first came out, it was a bit dearer then.

Have you read the book ? The film is completely different and bears almost no resemblance to it. In fact, I'd say that the film was a bit of a travesty (IMHO). Enjoyed it when I saw it, then I read the book and realised that the film was about 95% made-up.

Yip I've got the book too. I'm surprised the correlation between the book and film was as high as 5% ;)

Just bought two more cycling shirts for £2 each. They had a load of different ones no more than £3 each (but I only liked two!). Gonna wash them first though (even though they look clean).
