Still a decent lightweight jacket im sure. I can't vouch for this but I have the cheaper £6 one and its perfectly fine.

Everyone knows RRP is stupid anyway.

PoundWorld have hi-viz armbands with little flashing LEDs on them for ... well ... a pound. I thought wrapping them around the frame might give me a little more side-on visability.

Also re Karrimor: I've got a few items of their cycling clothing and I'm pretty pleased with it. There's no mistaking it's cheaply made (zips failing, the odd loose thread) but it's still good value for money.

I've got some of those ... they are good for stopping your trouser leg getting caught in the chain (plus the additional visibility it gives too )

I have that jacket. I fyou want a waterproof jacket for low effort commuting then it shoudl be OK, if you want something that you want to train in then look elsewhere. I tried it at about 3 degrees with just a base layer underneath, when I got home and hung it up I could see the sweat running down the sleeves!

Just back from my local Poundland where they're selling copies of Sir Chris Hoy's autobiography for .....you've guessed it a pound, don't know if it's a local or national thing, asked the spotty teenager working there but he replied with a grunt and shrug of the shoulders.

Go outdoors . Lug warmer (its like a hat with no top) for 2.40 just got myself 1 and couldn't recommend it more.

For some unexplained reason Tesco have got hold of a job lot of Cratoni helmets, in my local they were all priced at £13

That meant baisc kiddy helmets all the way up to what would normaly be a £70+ team issue lid.

They have some at £12.50, like Zoider says, basic models up to some well ventilated full hard shell covered ones all at the same price.

Now that I have been using this on the commute for a week or so, I can now agree with others on here that it does make one sweat somewhat, having said that though its not bad for the money and I like the fact its such bright orange.

I travel around a fair bit for work so I've had a look in a few different shops, so far York and the one in Stoke that Zoiders mentioned are the only two I've seen them in.
