Anything brake related - cables, pads, discs, etc. can be got at very reasonable prices directly from Fibrax (www.fibrax.com) - NB they offer multiple discounts that aren't immediately obvious.

My latest buy was 4 pairs of Ultegra brake pad inserts for a measly £10.19 - good stopping power, long life, and they don't eat rims

Delivery time for all of my three orders so far has been next day +1.

+1 I use fibrax pads first got them at the york show and also ordered on the website.

Good stopping power and a great price, but they have a wierd way of presenting the discounts for the multipacks on the website.

This might have been mentioned before but it has to be one of the best value bikes around.
According to a couple of LBSs I spoke to they have to pay more than 299.99 to stock it.

I use it for my London commute.

Nice looking bike - I like the bars.
I'm not sure I've got the legs for a SS yet.

I have just got some more tiny (they weigh 8g) little LED lights from Tesco. Ideal to stuff in with tools in case of need. £4.98 a set, with a 3 for 2 offer. Got 3 pairs for a tenner, to go with the ones I already have.

Are they the copies of these ? If they are they are almost as good as the Sigmas - almost, as the tops come off a little too easy, but they have an eye catching strobe flash. I've got both the Sigma and the Tesco - the Tesco's are way better value.

Foska have slashed the price of their training jackets to £35, today.

http://www.foska.com/

I've worn one every cold day between October and March for the past 5 years. The wind protection is great and they keep most rain out (if you're out in a torrential downpour they last 30 mins to an hour before you get some seepage). The 'bones' reflective keeps cars well away from you. Get in there before they sell out!

On a personal note. My jacket came to the end of it's useful life last winter (Small bits of the reflective pattern eventually peeled off and in the really cold blizzards it felt as though someone was sticking a needle in you). I've waited all year expecting them to have a price reduction. As the weather's got colder we've been discussing jackets at work. I was persuaded to splash out on an Endura stealth by a mate's advertising and Chain reaction's 10 percent off. I put the order in this morning... about 2 hours before the Foska email arrived.

I'll put this in 'bargains' as well, but as not all of us go there regularly, I thought I'd spread the news widely.

Enjoy!

not certain. The Tesco ones are slimmer and the button less hefty and they come with a rubber band affair to attach them. The only issue is that if forced into a small saddlebag/toolkit they get switched on and die. Batteries are replaceable in theory but hardly worth it.

Hey I´m 54 and unfit and the SS Plug is no problem for my 7 mile London commute. Have also done 25 mile route including a lap of Richmond Park (I had to push it up the steep hill), so would recommend it to anyone who doesn´t have a massive hill nearby! Buy two!
