Thanks for the thanks everyone - I had a call this morning to say my Sigmas are ready for collection and I should be picking them up tomorrow

Looks like some of us will be having a busy time fitting & setting up new bike computers

I didn't get a call or text either (which is fairly common to be honest - plus my local store is currently stupidly busy due to a promo on kids bikes for Xmas), but was passing so called in and they'd arrived. Worth a try if you're in the area?

Yes, the Halfords notification process is seriously wobby.
It used to be set up so that it automatically told you it was in a split-second after you had ordered it, which was clearly meaningless. It is though, despite its wobbliness, a good system/service - though helps a lot if the store is local- saves long wasted trips while they try to find stuff.

I picked up a Knog a couple of days ago, then placed an order for two more. I went to get them today, one was listed as arriving but nobody could find it, the second was not even dispatched and there was no stock. As usual the Halfords infrastructure is bobbins and the staff disinterested, which is why I would never use them for a normal purchase.

I had no notification for my Sigma 12.12 so went in store to discover yes they did have it; took them about 10 minutes to find it. Not only is the email / text communication wobbly but there is obviously no organisation in store of where ordered stock is kept; "could be upstairs, downstairs or in the back or..." Now waiting for postie to turn up with the computer cable for it which I got cheap off ebay

I have a spare sigma BC5.12 going good for the cost of postage. Decided I prefer the Knog better.
